I met SmartViser guys, get their App and run their test campaign. They have set a solution to compare Android smartphone. Their solution is really smart, fully automated and giving really a fair performance comparison. But stop talking, here are my first results.
Using SmartViser tool, I compared the HTC 510 and the Sony E3.
Thanks to viSer, I performed 360 tests without any efforts - except driving around in Rennes (France). So easy. I used the operator Bouygues as they are apparently best in 4G...
It is so easy to test with viSer that I get reports built in few minutes. And I can then release some conclusion straight...
Here below is the campaign scenario that I looped on both device.
What is really smart is that the same tests are performed at the same time !!!
Results are really one to one comparable !!
For example; the HTC is better in Web browsing.
But not in video streaming...
So, All in all I remember I choose the HTC 510 because, the LTE modem is up to 150Mbit/s in download... OK, this is why the Web is faster (may be)...
The FTP download should be clear in HTC favor then ?
Yes it is!! I really enjoy this testing experience. The HTC is really providing clear performance benefits compare to the Sony. I did a good choice, I think comparison should be available for every new device before it is available in shops or on the web.
